Feeling a bit crappy today.  It’s been a long week.  So I did this.  The image of the screaming man is not mine.  I took it from the book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell.

Did anyone ever read those stories growing up?  The illustrations terrified me.  So it made sense to go through the book and pull the picture that always gave me nightmares and make it my own.  Or at least use it for some sort of catharsis from the emotionally icky week I’ve been having.

The splatters are a mix of acrylic paint and nail polish.  The wispy stuff is a shredded up cotton ball.
